This year, 10.47% of residents reported illicit drug use sometime during the last month, per the CDC. A total of 354 residents died from overdoses in 2021 alone. Data is not yet available for last year.

SAMHOP
SAMHOP, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Ombudsman Program, according to its website, is “…designed to advocate for individuals (and their family and friends) affected by mental illness and/or substance abuse and to improve their quality of life.” Call 307-632-5519 Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM to reach a program member for support and resources.
