Mental health in Florida is a crisis. Approximately 70% of Floridians with mental illness do not receive adequate care. Moreover, Florida routinely ranks among the states with the highest total of opioid deaths. This is a sad combination that needs attention, and we want to help. The following hotlines are available to all residents of the Sunshine State, and the last two are available nationally. Florida Public Heath Department Substance Abuse Program Office

It’s a long name, but it’s resourceful as heck. A partnership between Florida’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program and the Florida Department of Children and Families, the program offers treatment and referral services, as well as free drug counseling. They also offer a free hotline and the number is 1-850-487-2929.

Florida 2-1-1

As a Florida resident, simply dialing 211 leads to an entire network of free and confidential assistance. Florida 2-1-1 offers free counseling, treatment programs, free information on mental health and substance abuse, as well as legal services, and much more.

National Rehab Hotline
