- Louisville Recovery Community Connection
The Louisville Recovery Community Connection aims to provide a safe space for individuals who are currently in recovery and their loved ones so they can get the support they need throughout their journey. The community is open to anyone in recovery and fosters an environment of accountability, honesty and support where people can talk about their ups and downs without fear of being judged. All members of the public are welcome to visit between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and scheduled members-only meetings take place throughout the week and on Saturdays.

Also called Deflection, Louisville’s Crisis Call Diversion Program operates as a non-police response emergency service. You can also request mobile responders for in-person support. They’ll show up at the scene and suggest community-based services for further assistance.

Those who are experiencing a mental health crisis and require immediate support can call or text 988 for assistance. Louisville also offers a “deflection support” service. Individuals can call 911 and request Deflection to receive appropriate behavioral health support rather than being referred to law enforcement. This service ensures everyone gets the help they need without having to use law enforcement resources. It also reduces some barriers to accessing help because people can get confidential emergency assistance even if they’re nervous about contacting the emergency services.

Seven Counties Services is Kentucky’s leading community mental health center. Serving Jefferson County, the organization operates various crisis helplines, including one for substance abuse.
