Denver

Denver is a rapidly growing mountain town that has a high-tech industry, sprawling suburban neighborhoods and as many sunny days each year as Southern California. Unfortunately, it’s also ground zero for massive drug trafficking operations — and the addiction these activities bring with them. Just in the period 2019-22, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health, the region saw a nearly 400% increase in fentanyl-related overdose deaths, with a further 19% increase from 2022 to 2023. The especially dangerous nature of Denver’s drug scene makes living with substance use disorder here more of an issue than it might be elsewhere. Fortunately, calling a Denver addiction hotline can help residents find the help they need to battle addiction, along with a number of free and confidential resources statewide.
