New Hampshire Substance Abuse & Drug Addiction Hotlines

Granite Staters consistently struggle to access care for mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders. Nearly 42% of adults who don’t receive care for mental illness find cost the biggest barrier to care, according to statistics published by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). But for 92,510 people in New Hampshire, mental health care isn’t accessible. There aren’t enough providers nearby.

Untreated mental illness contributes to several major issues, including suicide, homelessness, rising crime rates, drug abuse and under- or unemployment. When you need immediate help, the only option for accessing New Hampshire mental health care is often a hotline to connect you with available services.

When you call the New Hampshire Crisis Line or another hotline, you have someone to listen without judgment as you describe your struggles. Trained volunteers and counselors can also offer information about local resources, rehabilitation programs, referrals and other assistance programs that might help you leave substance abuse behind you. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for mental health, but there are lots of resources to try.
